-Product Description-
This tenugui was commissioned by OneLuck, who had also produced it before. OneLuck founder Sano-san had his first child in 2015, and was surprised at how thin the baby's skin was (half the amount of sebum compared to adults). He witnessed children with damaged skin due to the combination of infantile eczema and atopic dermatitis, and as someone who has worked in the apparel industry for over 20 years, he began to search for materials to help.
After comparing the evidence of various materials such as hemp, cotton, and synthetic fibers, we learned that washi paper is good for the skin, so we developed a smooth fabric that could be worn as underwear. Even if you have the thread, it is difficult to turn it into fabric, and it took two and a half years to create a fabric that was durable enough to be woven on a loom (a machine that weaves fabric), and we were finally satisfied with the result.
In terms of actual usage, many people have commented that it feels smooth and cool to the touch, dries quickly and leaves a clean feeling, and is light. There is also evidence from a third party to back up the usability.

[Characteristics of washi paper]
A material that is bacteriostatic (suppresses the growth and generation of bacteria), deodorizing, absorbent, and adsorbent, and is less likely to generate static electricity.
●The fibers themselves do not pill easily, so the material is less likely to cause prickly discomfort and itching.
●The washi paper used is certified by the international textile safety standard "Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1". It is a safe material even if a baby puts it in their mouth.
●The raw material for washi paper is the fast-growing Manila hemp grown on organic farms. It is an environmentally friendly material that decomposes in the soil in just 3-4 months when washi paper is buried in the soil. (Cotton, which is also a natural material, takes 2-3 years, while synthetic fibers simply break down into small pieces and do not decompose.)
